What are Mersai Courses?

- Mersai courses are designed for those hands-on practitioners and complementary therapists such as osteopaths, reflexologists, chiropractors, craniosacral therapists, etc, who would like to further develop their practical knowledge of physical work, and take their skills to the next level.

- Intensive practical techniques are the main focus of the course, however a sufficient amount of theory will be provided to support each technique. Throughout the training tutors work closely with students ensuring they are supported to adequately perform each technique and apply them in their practice with patients.

- The courses will cover all the major techniques of soft tissue manipulation derived from oriental elements of the “Art of Healing Touch”. For example, how to feel Chi energy and how to employ it in the most effective way. In addition, the course material has strong scientific knowledge base in relation to anatomy and physiology.

- The courses contents are going to bridge the gap between logical western approaches to healing and the holistic eastern style. These distinctly separate approaches will be taught in such a way that students will be able to connect and combine them in a truly harmonising form.

- Most importantly, students will be taught specific self-care techniques that will enhance their performance as practitioners. These methods will assist them with maintaining their own physical and mental well-being, thus, avoiding physical injury and mental strain. The practitioner is the most vital component in healing work and therefore, a practitioner’s lifestyle can have a hugely positive or negative impact on the aim of the work. With this in mind, through examination of diet, meditation, etc students’ physical, emotional and mental health will be explored with the specific aim of enhancing their practice.
